Itinerary

Arrival at Ben-Gurion Airport
Optional transfer to our hotel in Jerusalem. Meet the rest of the group and our tour guide who will give a short preview of the program for the tour. Enjoy a good night’s sleep after your long journey.

Old Jerusalem – the Holy City
After a delicious Israeli breakfast, we start our tour with a visit to the Mount of Olives for a stunning view of the old city. We continue our tour with the ancient core of Jerusalem in the archeological site of the City of David and Hezekiah’s Tunnel. A tour of the Davidson archeological garden and the Western Wall
A short coach ride through modern Jerusalem to the bustling Machane Yehuda Market for a delicious culinary tour.

Modern Jerusalem
We start the day with the famous Chagall windows.
A visit to Yad Vashem, the memorial and museum about the darkest days in Jewish history, the Holocaust.
Our next stop is the Israel Museum, the home of the world-famous dead-sea scrolls and many other fascinating exhibits.
Overnight in Jerusalem

The Hills of Judea
A short journey to the foothills of Judea, into the Ella valley where David defeated Goliath, and to the Bet Guvrin National Park with its labyrinth of caves used many years ago for hiding, burial, storage, and more.
The Israeli Armoured Corps Museum at Latrun with its array of old and modern tanks, and the Latrun Fort.

A free day in Jerusalem
After a leisurely breakfast take a walk around the city of Jerusalem taking in the sights of your choice. The tour guide will be happy to offer some tips as to how to enjoy your free day.

Masada & The Dead Sea
From the hills of Jerusalem to the lowest place in the world, and in a surprisingly short time. A spectacular tour of Masada with its mountaintop fortress.Visit the caves of Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls where discovered. Stop for a float on the salty waters of the Dead Sea.

To the North
We leave Jerusalem and, passing the ancient city of Jericho, drive northwards along the Jordan valley with its breathtaking scenery. A guided tour of the ancient city of Beit Shean, with biblical history and captivating Roman ruins. We continue north through the area made famous by King Saul and by the prophetess Deborah to The mystical old town of Safed with its atmospheric Artists Quarter and Kabbalist Quarter.

Golan Heights
The Banias River nature reserve, draining the waters from Mount Hermon into the Jordan River a real nature gem. A visit to the Early Medieval Nimrod Fortress. The most immense and best-preserved fortress in Israel.
Further up, to Mt Bental in the Golan Heights for spectacular views that underline this region’s strategic importance. We end the day at the famous Golan Winery.

From the North to Tel Aviv
We start the day with a visit to Beit Shearim national park, the home of Rabbi Yehudah Ha’Nasi, the editor of the Mishna, a park with an intriguing story.
Up to Akko, the best-preserved crusader city in the world. From Akko, we will drive through the port city of Haifa and pass by and see the world-famous Ba’hai Gardens, located on Mount Carmel. We continue south along the coastal road to ancient Caesarea with its Roman theater, port, Hippodrome, and aqueduct. Caesarea’s history is intertwined with Jewish, Christian, and Moslem History.
Towards the evening, we will arrive in Tel Aviv and take our first taste of this vibrant, bustling city.

Tel Aviv and Jaffa
Our last sumptuous Israeli breakfast.
We start the day in the neighboring ancient town of Jaffa taking in the port, the old city, the views, and the flea market. From Jaffa back to Tel Aviv, taking in the oldest neighborhood called Neve-Tzedek, the Shuk-Hacarmel market, the picturesque Nachalat Binyamin Pedestrian precinct the Bauhaus style architecture of the “white city” an area that UNESCO has declared a World Heritage site. We end the day at the Palmach Museum or Ayalon Institute,
